Effective October 10, 2026

THVN App ("the app") is a private bookkeeping tool built and operated by The Vine, Laurel, Montana, for its own QuickBooks Online company. It is not offered to the public or to other QuickBooks users.

What the app accesses

When an authorized administrator of The Vine connects the app to QuickBooks Online, the app uses the QuickBooks Online Accounting API to read and write The Vine's own accounting records: transactions, accounts, classes, vendors, and attachments (receipts and invoices).

How the information is used

Only to record The Vine's bookkeeping entries, verify them against past entries, and attach supporting receipts. The app does not use QuickBooks data for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to The Vine's bookkeeping.

Where information is stored

The app runs on a computer controlled by The Vine. QuickBooks authorization tokens are stored locally on that computer, readable only by its user account. QuickBooks records are not copied into any separate database or server operated by the app.

Service providers

The app is operated with the help of an AI assistant (Claude, by Anthropic). Records the app reads or writes may be processed by that service solely to carry out The Vine's bookkeeping tasks.

Sharing

The Vine does not sell, rent, or share QuickBooks data with third parties, other than the service provider named above and Intuit itself.

Retention and disconnecting

The connection can be removed at any time from QuickBooks Online (Settings > Apps > Manage apps) or by contacting us. When the app is disconnected, its stored authorization tokens are deleted. Accounting records remain in The Vine's QuickBooks company.
